Mario Balotelli ‘to use Luis Suarez’s Liverpool shin pads in order to rediscover goal scoring form’

Mario Balotelli has apparently asked to start wearing Luis Suarez’s old Liverpool shin pads – in a bid to rediscover his goal scoring form.

Balotelli, who has managed just four goals since his £16million switch to Anfield last summer from Serie A side AC Milan.

He is under pressure to start finding the net on a regular basis, and the Daily Mirror says he is hoping to find inspiration from ex-Liverpool man Suarez after finding a pair of his old shin pads.

The Italian has asked to start wearing them and hopes they’ll be able to give him the magic touch in front of goal.

Suarez scored 82 goals in 133 games for Liverpool so if Super Mario can replicate even a half of that, he’ll be great.
