Singapore City – The Manhattan of the East

The Republic of Singapore is a city state of Asia with almost 90 percent of its area urbanized. The city is located at the tip of the Malay Peninsula and comprised of 63 islands. The state is separated from Malaysia by the Strait of Johor in the north and the Singapore Strait in South provides a natural boundary from Indonesia. Today it is one of the busiest ports of the world and is among the Four Asian Tigers after Hong Kong in terms of business and economic boom.
