The NHS' A and E's has apparently had its worst week since records began, why is this? Could it be people drinking more because it's the festive season? Is it because the government is making cutbacks? Well whatever it is it needs to stop quickly and we need to be more prepared.

Lets have a look at this, Is it the public drinking more, I don't think so I don’t think we can say that with any conviction as there is nothing different to any other year, the population is generally the same size comparatively.

Cuts - this is a bit different. Since when did putting the public first stop happening? We need to cut the deficit yes but at the end of the day it is a spreadsheet of numbers that doesn’t really make a difference to any of us. Hospital care and the patients needs to be put first.

With having young children, I fear that going forward for next generations, they won’t be able to have the same level of service and assurance knowing that if the worst happens the NHS will be there for us to help us. This makes me very sad that they won’t be able to take for granted what I can today for themselves in the future.
