Jeff Stelling breaks microphone while celebrating Hartlepool goal live on Soccer Saturday

Sky Sports presenter Jeff Stelling was so happy when his team Hartlepool scored against Oxford United on Saturday that he inadvertently ended up breaking his microphone live on air.

The comical incident took place after the broadcaster’s team took the lead in the match through Joe Ironside’s 53rd-minute goal.

After one of Sky Sports’ journalists reported on the goal from the game, Stelling was left so ecstatic in the studio that he proceeded to jump up and down – before he ended up breaking his microphone in the process.

With the rest of the Soccer Saturday pundits in stitches over Stelling’s show of emotion, the presenter quickly resumed the show by walking over to Matt Le Tissier and using his microphone to comment on Ironside’s goal.

Another classic Soccer Saturday moment!
