A British-Indian artist, the 31-year-old Malhotra is focussed on discussing and deconstructing the digital image, often through a painstaking analogue process. In some of Malhotra’s more recent works, Hills, Streatham, London (2021), Press Any Button (2021) or The Solemn Land (2022) the effects of inkjet printers are recreated laboriously by hand, and in some others the effects of scanners, photocopiers or digital cameras.
