22-stone woman sees picture of herself being used on diet pills advert

Scammers are particularly galling these days.

They nicked a picture of 22-stone Kirsty Kennedy, 30, and put her next to another woman who’s size six to advertise diet pills.

They even had the gumption to give her a different name and said that she’d lost 98lbs thanks to the pills.

Kirsty spotted the advert on a Women’s Health website and the publisher is now looking into it.

Kirsty said: ‘They made me a year older, a divorcee, moved me down to Essex and made me out to be a size six. Why would someone do that? I don’t know how to take it.

Kirsty Kennedy from Stirling has had a picture of herself used to promote a slimming pill online as a before picture and the after picture being someone completely different. 20th May 2015. A woman with learning difficulties has spoken of her shock after seeing herself as the 'before' picture on a dodgy diet pills website. See CENTRE PRESS story CPPILLS. A photograph of 22-stone heavy Kirsty Kennedy, 30, was used by a scammers to show the dramatic change from using diet pills. The image was taken from her time on the controversial Channel 5 documentary "In Benefits Britain: Life on the Dole" and used in a transformation collage. It claimed to have links with Women's Health magazine. Kirsty, a charity volunteer, from Stirling, was pictured and wrongly named as Sarah Wright, 31, from Essex, beside pictures of a slim model. The advert sensationally claimed she had turned her life around and lost a whopping 98lbs using Ultra Ketone System and Cleanse Xtreme pills. Kirsty has now hit out at the fraudsters, while bosses at Women's Health magazine have launched an investigation.

‘I feel sorry for any poor beggar who falls for this under the impression that it would help them lose weight.

The other woman on the advert is Taryn Wright, from Essex, who featured in the national press for losing weight after splitting up from her husband.

Her mum, Rosemary said: ‘Does she look like she’s a size six? To me you shouldn’t be discriminated against whether you’re big or small.’

A spokesman for Hearst Magazines UK added: ‘We are appalled that the good name of Women’s Health has been associated with this fraudulent activity.

‘Women’s Health is not in any way connected to this fake company or the products it claims to sell.’
