1. Regular Eye Exams

Schedule regular eye exams with an eye care professional, even if you don’t notice any vision problems. Comprehensive eye exams can detect issues early, such as glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration. Depending on your age and risk factors, your eye doctor may recommend exams every one to two years.

2. Practice the 20-20-20 Rule

To reduce eye strain, especially if you spend long hours in front of screens, follow the 20-20-20 rule. Every 20 minutes, take a break and look at something 20 feet away for at least 20 seconds. This practice helps relax the eye muscles and can alleviate discomfort associated with prolonged screen time.
