7,000 athletes and delegates confirmed for the Odesur 2022 Games

The National Sports Secretariat reported that 23 days after the country's largest sports festival, the XII South American Games Asunción 2022 reveal more details of everything related to what the activities, athletes, shows will be for the start on October 1 of the competitions where 7000 athletes from 15 countries confirmed their presence.
Camilo Pérez López Moreira, president of Odesur and the Paraguayan Olympic Committee, confirmed in an interview with ABC CARDINAL "that several Olympic medalists from Brazil, Argentina and Colombia will be present at the competitions, guaranteeing the sporting level."
He also indicated that 100% of the Brazilian team is confirmed and that it brings its best stars since it is the country with the most medalists. Argentina and Colombia are also guaranteeing the level of entertainment in sports.
“We have confirmed the Venezuelan delegation with 500 athletes. The largest delegation is that of Brazil with 650 athletes (800 in total between athletes and coaches and apart from that 200 officials will come) and the total would be 1000 people from all over Brazil” asserted the president of the COP and ODESUR.
There are 15 confirmed countries that belong to ODESUR, in addition among the guests will be the vice president of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Nicole Hoevertsz, the IOC member, Gerardo Werthein, the president of Panan Sports Neven Ilic and the president of Centro Caribe Sports and member of the International Olympic Committee, Luis Mejía Oviedo, among others.
The center of competition will be the Paraguayan capital, Asunción, but there are also other venues such as Encarnación in the south, Hernandarias and Salto del Guairá in the east, and Luque, Lambaré, Mariano Roque Alonso, San Lorenzo, among others, in central. Read More…
