Ahly's football director warns of complacency after Cairo derby win
Ahly football director Sayed Abdel-Hafiz insisted Saturday's 3-0 win over Zamalek will not distract the Red Devils from working hard to reclaim the Egyptian Premier League title.
"We have to be cautious not to repeat last season's mistakes when we defeated Zamalek by five goals but eventually couldn't win the title," Abdel Hafiz told OnTime Sports in a pitch-side interview following the Cairo derby game.
Ahly secured a precious victory over arch-rivals Zamalek, thanks to a second-half goal from Mahmoud Kahraba and a late brace from substitute Mohamed Sherif.
"I congratulate all Ahly's supporters after the victory over Zamalek and we have to concentrate on the coming games as we have a busy agenda that includes a league game against NBE Club on Tuesday before we travel (to Morocco) for the Club World Cup." Read More…
