The Algarve Jazz Orchestra (OJA) persists in embarking on a series of captivating jazz performances throughout the Algarve region and the rest of the country. These remarkable concerts feature distinguished guest artists, enriching the musical experience for attendees.
Mark your calendars for May 12, as the OJA graces the stage once more in Lagoa. This time, they will be joined by the exceptionally talented Brazilian singer and songwriter, Alaíde Costa, for an awe-inspiring jazz concert. The event will take place at the esteemed Carlos do Carmo Auditorium, commencing at 21:00.
Alaíde Costa, hailing from Rio de Janeiro and born in 1935, has devoted her entire life to the realm of Brazilian music. Even after six decades after the release of her debut album, this enchanting vocalist continues to captivate audiences with her artistic brilliance, delicate voice, flawless intonation, and refined musical sensibilities.
In 2022, Alaíde Costa presented the widely acclaimed album "O que os meus calos dizem sobre mim," which was produced by Emicida and Marcus Preto. The album features arrangements by Pupilo and includes fresh compositions by renowned artists such as João Bosco, Ivan Lins, Joyce, Fátima Guedes, and Nando Reis, among others.
Following the Lagoa performance, this exceptional show will be showcased at the renowned Teatro das Figuras in Faro on May 13.
