Algeria: Authorities largely maintain COVID-19-related domestic measures and international travel restrictions as of May
Algerian authorities are maintaining precautionary measures as of May 11 to curb the spread of COVID-19.
Domestic Measures
A valid vaccination pass is required to access many public spaces and activities within the country, including stadiums, gyms, meetings, conferences, entertainment venues, public events, and hammams (public baths). Facemasks are necessary in public spaces, including on public transport.
International Travel Restrictions
Commercial flights are available to and from Algeria. Fully vaccinated travelers who have received the last dose of their vaccine within nine months before departure can enter Algeria without taking a PCR test. Unvaccinated or partially vaccinated travelers, meanwhile, must present proof of a negative result from a PCR test taken within 72 hours before departure. All travelers must present a completed health form to authorities upon arrival in Algeria.
Authorities could reimpose, extend, further ease, or otherwise amend any restrictions with little-to-no notice depending on disease activity over the coming weeks. Read More...
