"My concert prices have always been lower than the value of what I offered," Bălan explains. "I believe we are paid fairly. The minimum wage in our economy is around 2,000 lei. How much should we charge for a concert? A few thousand: two, three, four, or five thousand euros. Abroad, it’s normal for artists to earn hundreds of thousands because the cost of living is on a different level. Let's refer to our everyday living. You can't ask for 30,000 euros for a concert unless you offer something truly exceptional for that money. That’s where the problem lies," she states.
For a 60-minute performance, Andreea Bălan charges between 2,000 and 5,000 euros. This strategic pricing has helped her maintain a strong presence in the market. "Of course, otherwise, it would not have been possible to stay on the market for so long," she says. "I always asked for a little less than the value I offered, so that the client, the organizer, whoever called me, would be impressed by the show and feel they got good value for their money. This approach ensured that they would call me again."
Bălan’s strategy has clearly paid off. "That was my strategy to last in the concert market and for years and years I was number one in concert sales," the star reveals. Indeed, Andreea Bălan remains one of the most requested artists for events, thanks to her ability to deliver high-quality performances at competitive prices.
