Angolan chapter of African women's network presented
The Angolan Foreign Minister, Téte António, presented the national chapter of the African Network of Women Leaders, an initiative coordinated by the United Nations and the main organization of the continent.
As he explained, the objective is to contribute to the full and effective participation of the female population at all levels of decision-making in political, economic and public life.
Consistent with the purposes of the African Union, the network calls for action in six essential pillars, namely governance and political participation; peace and security; finance and women’s entrepreneurship; youth leadership, agriculture and social mobilization, the diplomat said.
According to the Minister, Angola aspires to structure the gear throughout its territory, at local and community level, as well as to strengthen the exchange of experiences and knowledge with other nations in the area. Read More...
