Are yellow eyeshadow looks the new black? I haven’t created any beauty content in a while, and now that I’m settled into my new house and back into my normal routine (6 months later) I thought it’s about time I did. I swear I’ve shot so many looks, but haven’t posted them. Edited them and long forgotten. And, here we are.
Nevertheless, I do love creating this type of content. I’ve been wanting to dabble with a yellow eyeshadow make up look for months. So, now that it’s finally Summer and there were some pretty weeds in my garden (as seen in this shoot) I thought I should finally give it a go.
Yellow eyeshadow might be something you’ve never attempted to wear, but this sunny hue has become one of the most popular shades lately. Maybe it’s because it looks great on every skin tone. Maybe, because we’ve all been craving a little colour after a dull period. But how exactly should you wear a yellow eyeshadow look? Here are my tips to ensure it looks good – even if you don’t know what you’re doing (like me).
How to Wear Yellow Eyeshadow
Wearing yellow eyeshadow can be a little daunting, but it can also be a lot of fun. If you are a little hesitant, do what I did. Give it a go with a cheap shadow from Kmart (be warned though, cheap shades can be really dry). If you want to dive in the deep end, I’ve listed some products you can try below.
Start with a clean base
You want to make sure your foundation is clean and even before you add your eyeshadow. This will ensure your shadow looks great and makes it easier to gauge how much eyeshadow you need to apply.
