Australia’s largest broccolini farmer was fined for hiring unlawful workers. Now it’s being sued by labourers
Australia’s largest grower of broccolini and asparagus has been accused of ignoring warnings that casual workers on its farms were being underpaid, less than a year after a federal court fined it $60,000 for employing undocumented workers.
The United Workers Union last week lodged legal action on behalf of three workers who picked broccolini at Victorian farms run by companies M&G Vizzarri and VBA Farming, both owned by members of the Vizzarri family. Read More…
