Author Chimusoro adds value to educational system
Chitungwiza-based author Danmore John Chimusoro (29) says he is working towards publishing two primary school agricultural textbooks before year end as part of efforts to improve the country’s education system.
This follows the publication of his debut Grade 7 learner’s book in December that has since been adopted as part of the school’s new curriculum.
The founder of Blossom Books, Chimusoro said: “The forthcoming books will be for Grades 5 and 6. The books will help in combating climate change effects through highlighting best practices, improved interaction and acquiring of new skills.
“My goal is to broaden the horizon of the educational system by empowering young minds of today and tomorrow. I seek to offer brighter detailed information that allows them to see the changes and adapt to new systems.”
The youthful author added that his dream was to become a leading publisher and bookseller in the country.
“I want to make an awareness on the adoption of technological changes like pay per view online platforms. Most publishing companies are reluctant to diffuse this into their businesses,” he said.
“I also wish to open bookshops not only in Harare, but across the country.” Read More…
