Bahati and Diana Marua, one of Kenya's most well-known celebrity couples, have encountered uncertainty regarding their long-anticipated wedding. Initially, the couple had planned to get married on December 12, 2023, but the wedding was later rescheduled to October 2024, coinciding with their anniversary month.
However, in a recent interview on September 8, Bahati revealed that the October wedding plans might not proceed as expected. He explained that Diana Marua has been hesitant to settle on a final date, leading to the possibility of further delays. "We had planned our wedding for October 20, which is our anniversary day. But now Diana has been postponing every day. It’s not me anymore," Bahati shared.
Bahati further mentioned that Diana is now considering February as a potential date but is cautious about making any more announcements until Diana makes a firm decision. He expressed his frustration over the constant changes, recalling conversations they've had about the wedding.
Diana Marua, on her part, admitted that she isn't fully ready for the wedding, which is why she continues to delay it. She shared that the idea of a wedding gives her "a lot of butterflies" and that she's not yet mentally prepared for it, although she is working towards getting ready. When asked about a specific timeline, Diana hinted that the wedding might take place sometime next year but refrained from providing exact dates.
Despite the uncertainty surrounding the wedding, Bahati took a significant step in October 2023 by paying dowry to Diana's family, marking an important milestone in their seven-year relationship. While the official wedding date remains uncertain, this traditional ceremony has formalized their commitment to each other.
