Bangladeshi artworks exhibited in Nepal

Bangladesh Embassy in Kathmandu, in association with the Siddhartha Art Gallery, is organising an art exhibition in Nepal as part of the celebration of 50 years of Nepal-Bangladesh diplomatic relations.
The event, titled "Spirit of Friendship", will exhibit artworks and paintings by renowned Bangladeshi artists at the exhibition hall of the Gallery.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Ganga Prasad Uprety, Chancellor of Nepal Academy, on September 2. It will continue until September 12.
Curated by renowned Bangladeshi artist Kanak Chanpa Chakma, "Spirit of Friendship" will feature works of Azmeer Hossain, Biswajit Goswami, Sourav Chowdhury, Mong Mong Sho, Lumbiny Dewan, Jayatu Chakma, Aongthowai Marma, Sudhip Chakma, Nomosta Rema, Munna Bowm and Pingcu Tripura.
Artists explored their idea of being Bangladeshi through prints and paintings using watercolour, acrylic, and mixed media. In most artworks, Bangladeshi artists have captured the natural beauty of rural Bangladesh and its people, and a few have worked in conceptual work in their paintings.
Compared to the contemporary Nepali art scene, the style and techniques these young artists participating in the exhibition used are contrasted only in terms of the designs of the Bengali attires and the influence of the sea.
