Because I'm Thank You!
Many, many years ago, I was a tutor and I caught a little boy who was naughty until I said enough! I could do all the summaries and explain a thousand times, which he always took denies. One day I asked:
"Listen - we studied this there. We saw this here. Did you study the abstracts?"
To which he replied, "I didn't study at all. I went to the test without studying. I didn't feel like it."
I was pissed off and shut up. Later, by an irony of fate, I was called to replace his teacher. Honest as I am, I gave up on explanations. Well we were both in shock when we saw each other in the school classroom for the first time. Me standing back and he... scared. The weeks passed and he always behaved straight and exemplary. One day I asked him to stay because I wanted to talk to him.
- "Teacher, what did I do wrong? Did I behave badly?"
- "No! I'm the one who's amazed! In the explanations you were always so rebellious and here you are such a good student and so well behaved... can you explain to me why you behaved so badly in the explanations and not here?"
