Best ski resorts in Italy for beginners and families
As has become the new normal, ski resorts in Italy will also be subject to COVID-19 rules and regulations. But like last year, the majority of Italian ski stations still plan to open in 2022 in spite of the coronavirus pandemic, and each individual ski station will have protocols in place to ensure safe skiing, including frequent disinfection of contact areas on ski lifts and compulsory use of face masks, amongst other measures. Cervinia

Breuil-Cervinia is a real paradise for skiing. As well as being one of the most famous ski resorts in Italy and the queen of the Aosta Valley, it is an ideal location for beginners.
The Cretaz area is home to a ski school, although the most suitable area for beginners is in the Plan Maison area. Here, the slopes are located at an altitude of 2,600 metres, a height at which the snow stays soft and easy, ensuring the optimal conditions for those who have never skied before. When you inevitably fall, you'll be glad of the soft landing.
Cervinia not only offers slopes suitable for all levels, but also breathtaking views of some of the most impressive peaks in Europe. For more experienced skiers, the Ventina slope is a must, and if you love snowboarding, then you should head to Indian Park and Gravity Park for an exciting way to kick off the year.
Piani di Bobbio

Just 45 miles from Milan are the peaks of the Piani di Bobbio and Valtorta ski resorts, which, thanks to the fake snow covering the slopes, are always covered with an impeccable white blanket, regardless of the winter snowfall (or lack thereof). There are ski school camps here to teach kids how to ski, and also exciting black slopes for the more advanced skier, making it a popular destination all round.
Starting from Barzio, a charming town in Valsassina in the province of Lecco, a cable car will take you up to a height of 1,700 metres, and here you will find 4 chairlifts and 3 ski lifts which serve 22 miles of slopes. Let the winter fun begin!
Alleghe

The Dolomites, besides being a World Heritage Site and a simply stunning sight to behold, are also an ideal destination for winter sport lovers. The Civetta Ski resort in the Dolomites in Veneto is part of the Dolomiti Superski area, and among its main resorts is Alleghe which is found 1,000 metres (3,280 feet) above sea level.
The total ski area here is quite impressive: 50 miles (80km) of slopes of differing levels and difficulties are framed by a stunning and unique landscape. The ski schools are located on the sunny plateau of Piani di Pezzè, at an altitude of 1,560 metres (5,118 ft), while more experienced skiers have about fifty slopes at their disposal, the longest of which is the Gran Zuita. To end your day on the slopes in a spectacular way, make sure to go to the floodlit Pecol track in Val Zoldana for a unique opportunity to ski in the moonlight. Read More…
