Boris Grebenshchikov has been filed a protocol on Discrediting the Russian Military
Boris Grebenshchikov, the frontman of the renowned rock group "Aquarium," has lodged an administrative report accusing the Russian army of disreputable conduct. This revelation was brought to light by the SHOT Telegram channel.
The Tverskoy Court in Moscow has received the case against the musician, charging him under Article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses, which pertains to "Public actions aimed at discrediting the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation." If found guilty, Grebenshchikov could face a fine of 50 thousand rubles.
The exact grounds for the protocol have not been disclosed, and the court hearing date remains pending. In January, there were attempts to investigate Boris Grebenshchikov for his alleged involvement in promoting terrorism and tarnishing the army's image. Sultan Khamzaev, a member of the State Duma Committee on Security and Anti-Corruption, expressed his intention to request an inquiry by the Investigative Committee of Russia into the musician's statements. Subsequently, Grebenshchikov left Russia after February 24, 2022.
