Bulgarian Film "Triumph" to Be Screened in Prague in March
The Bulgarian film Triumph is set to be screened in Prague, Czech Republic, in March, as announced by the organizers Nikola Yotov, Alexander Leonidov, and Zdravko Nikolov of PAVÉ, a platform dedicated to facilitating access to art, theatre, and cinema for Bulgarians living abroad.
Four screenings are scheduled at Cinema City Slovansky dum on March 6, 7, 8, and 9, all at 7:30 p.m. local time. The film, which serves as Bulgaria's submission for the 2025 Academy Awards, will feature Czech subtitles, ensuring accessibility for local audiences. This initiative is part of a broader effort to maintain a lasting presence of Bulgarian cinema in Czechia.
Triumph is a black comedy that unfolds the story of a secret military operation in the late 1980s. The plot follows a group of Bulgarian officers, led by a psychic, as they embark on a quest to find a mysterious artifact that promises to bring “the final triumph.”
