Conor McGregor blasted by WWE star Chris Jericho following UFC 229 defeat to Khabib Nurmagomedov

WWE legend Chris Jericho has take aim at Conor McGregor following the Irishman’s defeat to Khabib at UFC 229 on Saturday night.
The Notorious was dominated by the Russian during the lightweight title bout in Las Vegas, before tapping out in the fourth round to a rear naked choke.
It was McGregor’s first bout in the Octagon in almost two years, having taken something of a sabbatical to face Floyd Mayweather in a boxing ring in 2017.
But the Irishman was no match for Khabib, who took his undefeated record to 27-0, before the shocking scenes that followed.
Jericho witnessed the battle on Saturday evening in Las Vegas, and seemingly wasn't impressed.
Asked on Twitter if he would ever consider moving into UFC - ala Brock Lesnar - Jericho responded: “Why not! I could probably beat @TheNotoriousMMA at this point…”
McGregor has previously been outspoken on WWE in the past, declaring in 2016 that a lot of the current talent are "dweebs" and blasting John Cena as a "big fat, 40-year-old failed Mr. Olympia motherf**ker.”
However, he also has declared that there are "some dons in that wrestling game" including Vince McMahon, Triple H and The Rock.
And there is a school of thought that WWE could be in McGregor's future, with Dave Meltzer, of the Wrestling Observer , previously stating: “By 2020, let’s put it this way, I do believe there will be a day when Conor McGregor does something with WWE.
“They can afford anyone and anything and they already can. They could already, but they’ll really be able to going forward."
