It is the most important festival in the calendar of our Association… hearing the anthem of Spain and seeing how many descendants are moved because their parents are not present… “there was a time when hearing the national anthem moved me for the Spaniards who had left their land .. today I am moved to see the children and grandchildren crying when they hear the anthem and that it reminds them of their parents…” the Honorary Consul of Spain does not say.
Organized by the Honorary Consulate of Spain, the Association of Friends of Aragon and the Spanish Center of Paraná, the party was a complete success. Representatives of the accredited diplomatic corps in Curitiba were present, in addition to Mr. Rodopho Feijo, Head of International Relations of the Mayor's Office of Curitiba, represented by Mayor Rafael Greca, who recalled the long-standing relationship that the capital Curitiba has with Spain. “Since its foundation in 1693, this relationship has been with the presence of the Spaniards in the culture of identity and that today it can be said that Spain is part of the identity of Curitiba. I congratulate Consul Blanca Hernando Barco for the work he has been carrying out at the head of the Honorary Consulate”.
