Dimitrija Doksevski Appointed as New Director of the "Manaki Brothers" International Film Festival
Actor Dimitrija Doksevski has been elected as the new director of the "Manaki Brothers" International Film Festival during the ceremonial Assembly of the Society of Filmmakers (DFRM) held today. This prestigious festival, known for celebrating the art of cinematography, will benefit from Doksevski's extensive experience and passion for the arts.
According to the DFRM's statute, Doksevski's mandate will be valid for the next two editions of the festival. In his inaugural address, he presented a proposed program aimed at enhancing the festival's reputation and continuing its legacy as a prominent international event in the film calendar. His commitment to preserving the festival's esteemed status reflects his dedication to the cinematic arts and the cultural landscape of Macedonia.
Dimitrija Doksevski, born on July 28, 1983, in Skopje, is a well-respected figure in the Macedonian film and theater scene. He graduated in acting from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Skopje in 2006, under the mentorship of Prof. Kiril Ristoski. Furthering his education, he earned a master's degree in directing from the same institution in 2014, studying under Prof. Slobodan Unkovski.
Doksevski's professional career began at the Macedonian National Theater, where he worked from 2006 to 2011. He then briefly joined the Kumanovo Theater from 2011 to 2013 before becoming a key member of the Drama Theater Skopje in 2014, where he continues to perform. His versatility as an actor has allowed him to participate in various theater productions across Macedonia, as well as in film and television projects both domestically and internationally.
In addition to his acting career, Doksevski has made significant contributions to the arts through organizing and producing numerous theater plays and music events. He has successfully organized over 20 music events featuring artists from around the globe and has produced two large open-air music festivals with more than 20 international performers. His experience also includes producing and realizing short films and children's videos, showcasing his multifaceted talent in the creative industry.
