Dispute over money – 17-year-old stabs man (31) at Grenchner train station
In Grenchen, Solothurn, one person was injured in an attack with a stabbing weapon around 7 p.m. on Sunday evening. A spokesman for the Solothurn cantonal police confirmed 20 minutes into an ongoing operation at Grenchen train station that there were intervention units on site.
Footage from a news scout on site shows large amounts of blood on the platform. The reason for the escalation is said to have been a previous dispute over a small amount of money, whereupon the 17-year-old pulled out a knife and stabbed the man.
The police are on site with several emergency vehicles, and rescue workers have already been called out. According to the news scout, the victim has now been taken to a hospital in a Rega helicopter. The alleged perpetrator was arrested by the police at the scene. A possible motive for the attack is not yet available.
