Earthquake Tremors Shakes Cities In Islamabad, Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
A powerful earthquake measuring 5.7 on the Richter scale shook various cities across Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Islamabad on Wednesday afternoon.
The tremors were felt in cities including Lahore, Faisalabad, Jhang, Sialkot, Chiniot, Toba Tek Singh, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Lalamusa, Sangla Hill, Peshawar, Mardan, Swat, Abbottabad, Malakand, Multan, Lakki Marwat, Chitral, Mianwali, Kasur, and Okara.
The epicenter of the earthquake was reported to be near Dera Ghazi Khan at a depth of 10 kilometers, according to the National Seismic Monitoring Centre (NSMC). The quake caused panic among residents, prompting many to evacuate buildings and take safety precautions.
As of now, there have been no reports of major damage or casualties. Authorities are continuing to monitor the situation and assess any potential impacts from the earthquake.
