Edward Kosi dropped from Warriors team to play Raiders after howler against Storm
Kosi has been dropped from the Warriors team to play against the Raiders on Saturday night as Brown has made a number of changes to the team that was embarrassed by the Storm on Monday, although most of those changes were forced.
The 23-year-old winger had a game he’ll want to forget at AAMI Park as he made two dreadful blunders in the first half which resulted in tries, and also made further errors in the second half when targeted by the Storm kickers.
The TV commentators regularly brought up how poorly Kosi played and while Brown may have realised how much it would damage his confidence to drop him, he had to leave him out for a game the Warriors desperately need to win, to stay in contention for the top eight.
So bad was the Warriors performance on Monday that the club can expect to cop criticism all week, but the league world moves on quickly and a good win over the Raiders, who’ve been largely dreadful this season, will help ease the pain.
Centre Adam Pompey, who had a game almost as bad as Kosi, has survived the cut, although that may be down to a lack of options available to Brown.
Dallin Watene-Zelezniak is out with concussion and another of the club’s wingers, Marcelo Montoya is still suspended.
So Brown has gone with Rocco Berry and Viliame Vailea as his two wingers, even though they began the season as the starting centres.

Josh Curran is out because of a medial cruciate ligament injury, while Aaron Pene is suspended after taking an early guilty plea on a grade two careless high tackle charge on Reimis Smith in the Anzac Day game.
Euan Aitken and Bayley Sironen will start in the second row, while Jazz Tevaga is at lock.
Brown could have been tempted to make more changes, given that he criticised some players for not trying in the 70-10 loss to the Storm. Read More…
