EMK Steering Committee: Are we planning to land the coordinator Cheick Oumar Sissok?

The suspension of the six members of the M5-RFP Strategic Committee, on Saturday April 9, 2022, continues to make waves. But these waves which seriously shake the strongest political organization of the moment in Mali (it brought down President IBK), would find their sources in the internal situation of Hope Mali Kura (EMK). This political entity led by Cheick Oumar Sissoko ended the mission of its three representatives to the CS-M5-RFP during a General Assembly on January 17, 2022.
Thus, in a correspondence dated March 3, 2022, addressed to the president of the CS M5/RFP, the coordinator of the EMK Steering Committee, Cheick Oumar Sissoko notifies him of the decision of the General Assembly of January 17, indicating that the said members no longer represent EMK on the M5/RFP Strategic Committee. These sanctioned members - the correspondence does not say if they were heard by the General Assembly for their defense - are influential members of the CS-M5/RFP including the interim president Boubacar Karamoko Traoré, then the minister Ibrahima Ikassa Maïga and a long-toothed young wolf Abdel Kader Maïga, all from EMK.
“They have been absent from our bodies, bodies and activities since June 2021. This absence is detrimental to a good representation of EMK and to a report of the activities and decision of the parent organization which is the M5/ RFP” , according to the correspondence addressed to the president of the RFP.
These members whose mission at the CS-M5/RFP was terminated at the general meeting of March 3 were replaced by Pérignama Sylla (a veteran of the political game), Dr. Amenophis Traoré, Dr. Guida Landouré.
If a member organization has every right to rule on the representativeness of its members within a parent organization, there is no doubt that the management of EMK had just opened a front: with its own representatives within the CS- M5 RFP, who apparently did not have to explain themselves, on the one hand, and with this parent organization on the other.
The sanction of suspension of the six members of the CS-M5/RFP of April 9 would be intimately linked to this other of EMK which affects members whose activity underlies the governmental policy of the transition, in particular that of Minister Ibrahima Ikassa Maïga and also that of his two comrades from EMK on a mission to the CS-M5 RFP.
According to well-informed sources, the Coordination of EMK is already facing the consequences for having shaken the coconut tree in this way. A fierce battle begins for control of the coordination of the EMK Steering Committee.
