EVN to Ask for 1.6% Average Electricity Price Rise in SE Bulgaria, Effective July 1
On Friday, EVN Bulgaria will ask the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission for a 1.6% average increase of the electricity price in Southeastern Bulgaria during the new regulatory period which begins on July 1, the electricity distribution company's Management Board Chair Alexander Sipek said during a business breakfast here on Thursday.
He said that his company is able to propose a minimum increase because its costs have been largely offset by the state compensations. The electricity networks operators and the electricity transmission network operator in Bulgaria have been fully compensated for the built-up critical deficit of the costs of electricity for their technological needs.
