The first years of school are an exciting and important time in any child’s development. To encourage growth and development at a young age and in line with innovative standards in the sector, ABQ Sohar International School now also offers a dedicated Pre-KG nursery, ABQ Explorer, in Al Tareef.

ABQ Explorer follows the highly credited, UK-based International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC), adapted to the specific needs of students living in Oman. The IEYC is a research-based curriculum recognising global best practices in early childhood education and the developmental needs of 2 to 5-year-olds. The school strives to provide and promote a quality and nurturing environment for the developing young child.
Dederick Swart, principal of ABQ Sohar International School, explains, ‘With this new addition to our School Family, we are able to accommodate children from as young as 18 months. We even offer an extended care option whereby working parents are able to drop off their child earlier and pick them up later than a typical ‘mornings only’ alternative.”
