Exhibition Showcases West Attica University Student Art
An exposition of art pieces created by the students of the University of West Attica has been unveiled this week at the "Art & Environment" space of Athens International Airport "Eleftherios Venizelos." This display is open to the public, and it will be accessible until the end of the year, specifically until December 31, 2023.

The students from the Department of Photography and Audiovisual Arts' "Visual Art Applications" laboratory worked diligently for over a year, utilizing the collage technique to create original pieces of art that revolved around creative themes, such as Sky, Limited-Unlimited, Countries, Journeys, Nations, Earth, Travel, Space, Border-Borderless, among others, or personal interpretations of concepts and terms.
The students approached their artworks from various angles, utilizing literal, metaphorical, symbolic, realistic, hyperrealistic, and abstract methods, sometimes combining some of them. The exhibition's selected pieces are showcased at the Athens International Airport "Eleftherios Venizelos," featuring wall-mounted digital prints and a continuous stream of images projected on video.
The exhibition's concept and curation were masterminded by two prominent personalities: Harris Pressas, the Dean of Faculty of Applied Arts & Culture and a professor at the university, and Myrto Vounatsou, an assistant professor from the Department of Photography and Audiovisual Arts at the Faculty of Applied Arts & Culture.
The students' participation in this event was characterized by high levels of enthusiasm and engagement, and their works' quality is undoubtedly exceptional. Their dedication to art and the creative process is evident in every piece showcased in this exhibition, and it is a remarkable testament to the University of West Attica's dedication to artistic education.
