Exports increase 22.2%
Portuguese exports of goods increased by 22.2% and imports rose by 37.5% in January 2022 compared to the same month of 2021, according to the National Statistics Institute (INE).
“In January 2022, exports and imports of goods registered nominal year-on-year changes of +22.2% and +37.5%, respectively (+24.1% and +35.1%, in the same order, in December 2021)”, refer to INE international trade statistics.
Compared to January 2020, the pre-pandemic period, exports increased by 9.7% and imports by 13.3%.
When excluding fuels and lubricants, exports and imports increased by 19.5% and 29.9%, respectively (+24.1% and +28.8%, in the same order, in December 2021). Read More…
