Fast - CFR Cluj. Transylvania lose ground in the title fight: We scored on all their shots
FC Rapid Bucharest defeated CFR Cluj with a score of 3-1 (3-1), on Monday evening, at home, in a match from the sixth stage of the play-off phase of the Superleague football.
Rapid started strongly and scored twice in the first quarter of an hour, through the Croatian Marko Dugandzic (9 - penalty), after a foul committed by the German Christopher Braun on Alex Ioniţă II, and through the Estonian Mattias Kait (12).
The champion managed to score quickly, through Rangelo Janga (15), from Braun's cross. The team coached by Dan Petrescu, who confirmed the moment of crisis they are going through, had two goals, through Ermal Krasniqi (25) and Karlo Muhar (33), but instead of restoring the tie, they also received the third goal, at the end of the first halves, when Dugandzic (45+2) scored from Junior Morais' cross. CFR dominated the second half, but failed to create clear scoring opportunities.
Cristian Manea, the captain of the guests in this match, played the 200th game for CFR. CFR has only one victory in the six stages of the play-off, three draws and two failures. Transylvania have three consecutive defeats in all competitions. Rapid ticked off his second consecutive victory, after a series of six unsuccessful stages. In the regular season, the two teams shared their victories, 1-0 for CFR and 2-1 for Rapid, and in the play-off, the result in Cluj-Napoca was equal, 2-2.
