Finland's stock market saw a decline at the close of trading on Friday, with the OMX Helsinki 25 index falling by 0.34%. This downturn was primarily driven by losses in the Basic Materials, Technology, and Healthcare sectors.
Among the best performers, Konecranes ABP rose 5.44% to close at 63.00, while Fortum Oyj and Kalmar Oyj also saw gains, ending at 14.05 and 32.88, respectively. Conversely, the worst performers included UPM-Kymmene Oyj, which fell 3.18% to 27.72, and Stora Enso Oyj, down 2.82% to 10.52. Overall, declining stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange, with 101 stocks falling compared to 68 that rose.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for April delivery increased slightly by 0.12% to $74.38 per barrel, while crude oil for March delivery rose 0.11% to $70.69. The April gold futures contract also saw a modest increase of 0.21%, trading at $2,882.86 per troy ounce.
In the foreign exchange market, the EUR/USD pair was down 0.56% to 1.03, and the US Dollar Index Futures rose 0.43% to 108.01.
