In January 2022, the Metropolitan Potable Water Company of Quito ( Epmaps ) resolved the unilateral termination of the contracts signed with the company Inmosolución and Geincosolution Cía. Ltda, known as Geinco .
The contracts were signed during the administration of former mayor Jorge Yunda .
The agreements were made for the construction of sanitation works in the parish of Tumbaco and drinking water for Calderón. Epmaps pointed out that the termination of the contracts is due to “technical and legal reports that determined that the Public Procurement Law was not complied with due to the causes of excessive subcontracting (Inmosolución) and assignment of contracts ( Geinco )”.

Geinco , through a protection action filed on February 3, 2022 and clarified on the 10th of the same month and year, «intends to annul the unilateral termination resolution of the strategic alliance contract arguing, without foundation: violation of security legal, due process, the right to defense and the right to petition”, said Epmaps in recent days .
And this March 28, 2022, in the Calderón Judicial Unit, the protection action that could return the contracts to Geinco was not given .
