The 2023 Met Gala is done and dusted. All in all, it certainly lived up to the hype. The event saw some of the world’s most prominent names from the world of sports, fashion, entertainment, and business come together to celebrate the life of Karl Lagerfeld, the late fashion designer who left a lasting legacy. Typically, you wouldn’t associate tennis with an event like the Met Gala. However, the 2023 edition was special for tennis fans because of the involvement of Roger Federer, who was one of the event’s co-chairs.
Federer arrived in New York a few days ahead of the grand event and spared some time to visit The Met in the buildup to the event. He posted a video of his experience of the iconic museum on Instagram. Unsurprisingly, the video didn’t take very long to get some incredible reactions, including that of a prominent American actress. The actress was once the wife of one of America’s greatest ever men’s tennis players, John McEnroe.

In Federer’s Instagram video, the Swiss Maestro made his way to the Anna Wintour Costume Center, one of The Met’s most prestigious wings. It is home to the Costume Institute collection.
