Games That Will Help You Learn More Words
Every topic benefits from having a strong vocabulary since there are always terms that students need to master in order to fully grasp the concepts being taught. Unfortunately, a lot of students find it difficult to recall the explanations of new vocabulary terms or are overwhelmed by the thought of just learning definitions. Synonyms
A wonderful technique to create enduring links between a vocabulary word’s definition and its synonyms is by doing so. You can attempt the following activity with your students: Group the students into two groups. Distribute half of the vocabulary terms to each group. Ask students to look for synonyms for each vocabulary term in a dictionary, thesaurus, or online. The groups should then alternately read the list of synonyms to one another. Check to see whether the groups can identify the term from its synonyms.
