Germany launches unlimited travel for £1.40 a day while UK bumps up train fares
Germany has introduced a train ticket for just £1.40 a day which gives full access to as many train, bus and tram rides as the passenger wants.
The Deutschland-Ticket will go on sale from April 3 for £43 a month.
The pass, known as the D-Ticket, is a monthly subscription which can be automatically renewed or purchased for one month - making it perfect for tourists exploring the country.
It will be valid from May and work on nearly all parts of the public transport network across the whole of the country.
Only the fastest long distance trains will not be covered by the ticket, although the U-Bahn and S-Bahn networks in the cities will. Read More..
