Guadalupe Llori raises precautionary measures against the evaluation commission
The President of the Assembly argues that she seeks to "avoid the serious, imminent and irreversible threat to constitutional rights."
The political-institutional crisis that broke out in the National Assembly as of February 24 of this year would be about to bottom out.
Monday, April 4, 2022, Guadalupe Llori, head of the Legislative Function, presented before the court a request for precautionary measures so that the plenary session of the Assembly refrains from knowing, debating and resolving the request to form an ad hoc multi-party commission to evaluate the management of the Administrative Council of the Legislature (CAL) as long as the procedure established in the Organic Law of the Legislative Function is not followed and respected.
Llori also argued that it seeks to "avoid the serious, imminent and irreversible threat to constitutional rights."
In open opposition to Llori 's management , the UNES, PSC and PK benches insist on examining the official's management. They were joined by the official CREO bloc.
With this legal action, the president would seek to avoid being removed from office.
UNES's reaction
What is the president afraid of? asked María Fernanda Astudillo from the ranks of UNES , and described the legal action promoted by Llori as "exaggerated", because -she said- the only intention is to form a multi-party commission that will be represented by a delegate from each political party to evaluate the seven members of the CAL. "Which owes nothing fears nothing; I don't know what's wrong with the president, ”she expressed.
