Health reiterates that 263 people depend on organ donors in our country

To date, there are 263 patients on the donor waiting list, of whom 182 need corneas, 68 kidneys, seven await a new heart and six need a liver transplant.
According to the State portfolio, so far in 2022, 1,511 transplants have been performed, according to the latest data reported by the National Institute of Ablation and Transplantation (INAT).
On the other hand, they recalled that a cadaveric donor can save more than 10 people; the organs that can be donated are: two kidneys, a liver, a heart, two lungs and the pancreas.
