Housing Unit Sales Increases in Romania
In the first half of 2024, Romania experienced a significant increase in housing unit sales, with over 77,200 homes sold, marking a 16% rise compared to the same period in 2023.
Notably, the Bucharest and Ilfov County regions saw an even higher annual growth rate of 25%, according to a market report released by real estate consultant SVN Romania, which was based on official statistics.
This uptrend indicates a robust demand for housing in the country, particularly in its capital and surrounding areas.
The report's findings suggest that the Romanian real estate market is experiencing a period of expansion and heightened activity, reflecting positive economic conditions and possibly improved consumer confidence in the housing sector.
