Great news! WhatsApp has finally made it possible for users to link the same account on multiple phones. You can now connect up to four additional devices to your WhatsApp account, just like you can with web browsers, tablets, and desktops.
No matter whether you use an iPhone or Android phone, each linked phone will be connected to WhatsApp independently, guaranteeing that your personal messages, media, and calls remain end-to-end encrypted. However, if your primary phone remains inactive for an extended period, you will be automatically logged out of all companion devices, so be mindful of that.
To set up your additional phone with your WhatsApp account, follow the steps outlined below. Once completed, you can easily switch between phones without signing out and continue your conversations where you left off.
Firstly, download and launch WhatsApp on the additional phone you wish to use. Instead of entering the phone number associated with your WhatsApp account, select the "Link to existing account" option to generate a QR code.
Next, on your primary phone, open WhatsApp and go to Settings -> Linked Devices. Then, select the "Link a device" option and scan the QR code with your phone's camera.
It's as simple as that. After scanning the QR code and syncing the devices, you will be able to view all the conversations you had on your original phone. You will also be able to send and receive text and voice messages, participate in group chats, and access all of the other features that you are familiar with on your primary phone, but now also on your companion phone.
