HYUKOH and Sunset Rollercoaster Release Joint Album ‘AAA’
HYUKOH and Sunset Rollercoaster, two influential bands from Seoul and Taipei respectively, have joined forces for a highly anticipated collaborative album titled AAA. The album marks a unique fusion of their musical styles and was officially launched after a buildup with the release of their lead single, “Young Man.”
The music video for "Young Man," directed by Pennacky, brings together all members from both bands: Kuo Hung Tseng, Hung-Li Chen, Shao-Hsuan Wang, Tsun-Lung Lo, and Hao-Ting Huang from Sunset Rollercoaster, alongside HYUKOH's Oh Hyuk, Im Dong-geon, Lim Hyun-jae, and Lee In-woo, with a guest appearance by frequent collaborator JNKYRD. The track captures the uncertainty and existential reflections of youth, with a chorus that encapsulates a youthful, forward-looking spirit:
"Every day is yesterday. We don’t look back. Go forward with no regrets. We, the young, forever mercy."
In a joint statement, the bands expressed that AAA is the culmination of a year's worth of close collaboration, rooted in a long-standing friendship and mutual admiration. The title AAA carries several meanings: it represents "good stuff" or "quality assurance" and serves as an abbreviation for "Access All Areas," symbolizing the bands' ambition to transcend cultural boundaries.
With Sunset Rollercoaster gearing up for their first U.S. tour, AAA stands as a testament to their shared artistic vision and a celebration of cross-cultural musical exchange.
