Indonesia’s Krom Bank Taps AWS Cloud to Expand Its Digital Banking Services
Krom Bank, a youth-focused digital bank in Indonesia, is harnessing the power of Amazon Web Services (AWS) to expand its digital banking services and bridge the financial inclusion gap in the country. With 74% of the Indonesian population lacking access to traditional banking, Krom Bank aims to provide personalized financial services through its mobile app, leveraging AWS cloud technology to rapidly develop and improve its services.
By utilizing AWS, Krom Bank can take advantage of key features such as Amazon Aurora for a scalable database, Amazon ECS for quicker addition of features like e-KYC, and Amazon Rekognition for secure logins and document submissions via selfies. Additionally, Amazon SageMaker enables the bank to analyze customer behavior for enhanced security and personalized experiences.
Krom Bank plans to explore further AWS generative AI services like Amazon Bedrock for features such as chatbots and virtual assistants. The bank is also investing in AWS Training and Certification programs to enhance its workforce's cloud skills, ensuring that its team is equipped to innovate and develop new services rapidly.
Krom Bank has partnered with Mambu, a cloud banking platform, for its core banking operations, further solidifying its commitment to cloud-based innovation.
By leveraging AWS cloud technology, Krom Bank is revolutionizing digital banking in Indonesia, providing innovative, secure, and personalized financial services to the country's youth and previously underserved population.
