INHGA: Yellow flood code in hydrographic basins in four counties, as of Thursday morning

The National Institute of Hydrology and Water Management (INHGA) issued, on Wednesday, a Code Yellow flood warning, valid from Thursday morning in five hydrographic basins.
According to hydrologists, during the day of July 28, between 03:00 and 00:00, there will be leaks on slopes, torrents and streams on several river sectors in the hydrographic basins: Jiu, Olt, Argeş, Ialomiţa and Buzau.
INHGA specialists mention that dangerous hydrological phenomena can occur with greater probability and intensity on some small rivers in the counties: Vâlcea, ArgeÅŸ, DâmboviÅ£a and Prahova.
In the warned basins, the Attention Quotas can be exceeded and there is a risk of local flooding and increases in flows and levels. Read More…
