Irish air date for the final Neighbours episode revealed
The air date for the final episode of Neighbours in Ireland has been revealed.
The much loved Australian soap is coming to an end this summer after running for 37 years.
The show was axed after Channel 5 announced they would no longer be showing the programme, and it was unable to find a new home.
The final episode of Neighbours will air in Ireland on RTE 2 on the 3rd August, it has been confirmed.
The show has aired on RTE 2 since 2001.
The show featured many actors who went on to huge international success, including Kylie Minogue, Liam Hemsworth, Margot Robbie, and Jason Donovan.
Announcing that the show would come to an end, a spokesperson for Channel 5 said earlier this year: "Neighbours will no longer air on Channel 5 beyond this summer.
"It's been a much-loved part of our schedule for more than a decade, and we’d like to thank the cast, Fremantle and all of the production team for their fantastic work on this iconic series.
