Roberto Mancini’s Italy have gained a place in the updated FIFA men’s world rankings, overtaking Luis Enrique’s Spain.
The Azzurri booked their spot in the Final Four of the Nations League in the recent international break after picking up wins over Hungary and England, allowing them to finish top of their group. It was a positive step forward for Italy, who will not be taking part in the upcoming World Cup in Qatar after their disastrous loss to North Macedonia earlier in the year.
Italy have now risen to 6th in the world rankings, behind Brazil, Belgium, Argentina, France and England. Spain dropped down to 7th, a curious result considering that they’re also part of the Final Four of the Nations League. Read More...
