Kenya wishes to foster military partnership with Cameroon

Information and Communication technologies play a peculiar role in a nation’s security. And it has become a necessity for each country to build a good and strong digital security.
It is in this light that a delegation of the 37th batch of Kenya National Defence college are having a work trip in Cameroon.
The military officers started their journey at the National Agency of Information and Communication technologies, ANTIC.
Major Dmitry Gwandho from the Kenyan National Defence college said their visit aims at appreciating the importance of regional cooperation especially in securing the African contiennent and its borders. He says, “we want to understand the importance of technology in securing African nations.”
While visiting the Antic, it was revealed to them by Prof Ebot Ebot, Director General of the institution that most studies indicate that information and communication technology is a key driver for sustainable and social development of most countries because it has positive effects on economic growth, productivity and employment.
A point which goes in line with Kenya expectations; as Major Dmitry Gwandho also underscored the hope of his country to build a strong partnership with Cameroon as the world is facing emergent treats, “Cameroon is a brother to Kenya and partners in security and the development of the African continent”, he concluded.
