Khanh Hoa: Opening Paragliding Festival in 2022
The festival aims to respond to the program "Launch domestic tourism to adapt safely, flexibly and effectively control the COVID-19 epidemic" of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Provincial Tourism Action Program, Khanh Hoa in 2022.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Do Van Tiep, Director of Hon En Adventure Sports Tourism Company Limited, hopes that the development of paragliding sport in particular and extreme sports in general will contributing to diversifying high-end tourism products in Nha Trang, attracting new customers and providing new experiences for old customers. Besides, this activity also promotes the local sports movement, is an opportunity for Nha Trang and Khanh Hoa to appear on the Vietnamese and international paragliding map.
The festival consists of two parts: competition, performance of non-motorized paragliding and motorized paragliding with the participation of about 100 pilots from domestic clubs. In addition, visitors can register to experience paragliding with pilots. This is an opportunity for visitors to watch paragliding activities in the sky and experience this sport, watching the beautiful scenery of Nha Trang from above.
In the performance combined with motorized paragliding at Thanh Nien Park this morning, 10 pilots participated in two routes with an altitude of 50-100m. The pilots took off at Thanh Nien Football Stadium and flew along the beach on Tran Phu Street (100m from shore) to Pasteur Institute Nha Trang and vice versa.
The non-motorized paragliding competition will take place from now until the end of the festival on July 3, at Hon En flight point (Dac Loc village, Vinh Phuong commune, Nha Trang city) with 50-80 pilots participating. .
